Enrolling at Ardross Primary School
Finding the right school for your child is a pivotal decision. Our enrolment process is designed to help you explore what makes our school special, guiding you through the steps to determine if our community is the perfect fit for your child’s educational journey. Application Process
Enrolment is a two-step process for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. An Application for Enrolment Form is submitted and, once written confirmation of acceptance has been received, is followed by a Student Enrolment Form. Kindergarten is pre-compulsory and the enrolment concludes at the end of the year. Parents must make a new Application for Enrolment in Pre-Primary as it the first year of compulsory schooling.
Applications for your child to enrol at Ardross Primary School at the start of the following school year, will be accepted from the first week of term two each year. Applications to join during the current school year can be submitted at the time of need.
Step 1: Application for Enrolment
This can be done by completing an Application for Enrolment and returning it with the supporting documentation listed below to our school front office or emailed to ardross.ps@education.wa.edu.au
Supporting Documentation
The following documentation is required to be submitted with your application for enrolment:-
CHILD’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE
- Australian Birth Certificate only (if one or both parents born in Australia)
- Australian Birth Certificate and Australian Passport/Citizenship Certificate or Foreign Passport and Visa Grant Notice including Date of Arrival in Australia (if both parents born overseas)
- Foreign Birth Certificate and Australian Passport/Citizenship Certificate or Foreign Passport and Visa Grant Notice including Date of Arrival in Australia
CHILD’S AUSTRALIAN IMMUNISATION RECORD
- Must be no more than two months old from date of application, available online from Medicare, visit Medicare Australia website
PROOF OF CURRENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS – Evidence of current residential address must be provided at the time of enrolment. This should include:-
- A copy of the rates notice or lease agreement, providing the applicant is residing at the address PLUS
- A utility bill (electricity, gas, land/water rates) or connection request/advice notification if new property/lease agreement.
FAMILY COURT ORDERS (if applicable)
VISA ENTITLEMENT VERIFICATION If your child is not a permanent resident of Australia, you must provide evidence of current visa subclass and previous visa subclass (if applicable, such as if current visa is a bridging visa)
Any other information relating to health or medical conditions, disability or additional needs (if applicable)
Once the Application for Enrolment has been approved, parents will be sent an Offer of Acceptance Letter from the Principal and invited to complete the enrolment process by completing the Student Enrolment Form and supporting documentation as required.
